Halloween Cake Topper

I was asked to make the cake topper for the cutest Halloween Party ever. Seriously.. go check it out on tellloveandparty.com or merricksart.com to see it in all it's glory. It's drool worthy.

I usually will take every opportunity to make a cake but the week of this party was insane nuts. So I ended up just buying a cake from Nothing Bundt Cake and it was the best decision ever. I just spruced it up with a cute cake topper and called it good.

All I did was bring my lettering into illustrator and vectorized it. (You could use any font on your computer if you didn't want to use your hand lettering or don't know how to) Then I used my wonderful Sizzix eclipse2 machine to cut it out. That thing seriously rocks my world. I also used it to cut out the triangles so they would all be perfect. Simply put, it legit cuts out every and any design you could ever want. Even super intricate stuff, like lettering. :) So I cut out my lettering and triangles and attached them to pained dowels. And to make sure colors matched perfectly, I used the back of the invitation for the large orange triangle behind the boo and the little triangles.

We also used it to cut out the letters fro the Spooky Treats banner. Love that dang thing. :)
